[i]Well Can we talk about Racing??? or Go-Karts??? or .. anything to do with cars that go.. Brrrrrrrmmmmmmmmm??

I really want to learn the proper way to Race!

I drive pretty good.. lol.. considering I'm a women.. hee hee.. and Speed is my main goal when driving.. as well as the thrill of getting between .. and around as many cars as possible.. lol.. Aye me and my wee sports car.. lol....

Yes to race the quarter mile.. lol.. in my 1980 "smokie and the bandit" Trans-Am.. wooohooo... I was good.. and I won a lot.. Not all the time.. but enough to keep on having others want to race me..

Also use to go to the woods.. "real tracks" lmao.. and race go-karts.. lol.. Loved it man.. I sooooooo wish I was a kid again.. lmao...

broommmmm brroommmmmm!

I used to race too..me and about a half dozen friends years ago we all had fast 4wd and we used to race over the backroads between Lesmahagow and EK it is about 25 miles I think...and tight..very.. I often won.. but probably only because I was the only one who really had no fear..lol.. I also still race Go-carts when I can.. but unfortunatly everyone is so busy with family life these days its hard to get us all together...

I would also love to do courses(race tracks)..and I have a friend who races at Silverstone from time to time.. it sounds very kool..

[i]It's been years.. and I wouldnt mind taking a spin on a track.. lol..

Outdoor tracks here are pretty big.. and In general some guys would go into the woods and build then for their own use.. lol.. however, I use to drive the go-karts there.. but then I would come home with ticks under my cloths.. so.. that stopped

I don't remember how fast, but I would image all types are different.. but do you need a license or something to drive the go-karts there?.. I remember you told me they went up to 75mph.. I would image there has to be an age limit no?

Are you still in Scotland? If so, there are track days at Knockhill http://www.knockhill.co.uk/ .

If not, your nearest circuit will probably have something similar.

No hon...you dont need a license and there is no age restriction(as far as I am aware) to drive go-carts...as long as your big enough to reach the pedals its all kool...

and thanks for the link Artoo

aye..lol...but I can tell you that most of the Formula 1 drivers began there careers very young as go-cart racers..then worked there way up to formula 1... many young boys start as young as 7/10.. but you do need a lot of financial backing and most formula 1 drivers are all from very wealthy families...
