Does anyone here want to play American football?

I'm from the E.K. Pirates and our season is about to kick off on the 4th of April. I'm trying to raise the awareness of the game and bring more people into the sport.

We are one of Britain’s leading clubs having made it to 2 of the last 3 finals. Were hoping to go one better and win it all.

Anyone interested in playing or coming to watch us kick some English teams butts?

Let me know.

Do you play or watch it?

Were always trying to find new players because unlike normal football where you can have 15 guys to have a good team we need something like 35 guys or better.

If anyone is interested let me know. We train in Wishaw and play our games in Hamilton. Or check out the website(needs a face lift i know) for info.

Wishaw...Hamilton...E.K. Pirates??

I though you guys used to practice and play up the top of the Brancumhall pitches??

Well that was years ago when I used to date one of your cheerleaders...but I suppose Wishy and Hamilton have better playing areas than EK did?

yeah it used to be at brancumhall, but the pitch was terrible. We used to play our games at Calderglen but the Rugby team kick us out. Brancumhall couldnt take us playing on it and training so we moved to Hamilton(all South Lanarkshire council areas) for our games and the pitch has been amazing.

We merged with a junior team that trains down in Wishaw. This is the fist year so we are still calling ourselves the East Kilbride Pirates. I'm not sure but we might change the name in the future, who knows.

aye right enough... the pitch is pretty dire up there...and it kinda all slopes off to the side as well... i always though it must be hard to play on as the side furthest from the road was all down hill..lol...

Thats good that you'all finally found a decent park though... I am sure it can only have helped your game too

Talking

why is it called americam football it should be called american handball they hold the ball more than they kick it ....football is what europeans play and south americans .....i guess those super macho jocks who are drafted into the game could not handle it being called handball is that would ruin their macho image i mean hand ball in all sounds gay ....and with words like tight end and wide receiver it would sound like a sport for gay men who live with their mommies.......of course real football was clled foot ball but those people on the other side of the pond ended up calling it soccer ....it is football and always has been ......
