In Kelty,Fife each year they have Trophys and people come from as far as south of England to enter the Coal Carrying contest entrants have to place a hundredweight of Coal on their shoulders and run a race at same time, they have race for both men and women,
------
In Perthshire they have contests of someone standing on a barrel and throwing a rubber boot,a distance the entrants have 3 go's at it and best is picked,
---------
Throwing a 56 pound weight by your small finger a distance
this is actually another well known strength sport in north and central Scotland,
------------

Only strange Scottish sports I've seen was at the Scottish Games held here in the States.. and to be honest.. any man who can toss a great big giant poll.. lol.. has my vote!.. lol.. I don't know the correct name for it.. but they flip these polls.. wooden polls that is.. some are longer then others.. and I would guess that is the upgrade to the next level.. lol.. the poll gets longer
