Oil companies warming to Salmond
The oil companies seem to be angered by Osborne and enamoured by Salmond.

oil industry
it could be because Osmond is costing them millions and Salmond is trying to protect them. The oil industry makes millions every year and the UK economy has been propped up by oil revenue for 20 years. I am looking forward to the day when Scotland gets all the oil revenues it is due

I remember seeing 25,000 Scots marching in Stirling in 1977 (1976?) on Bannockburn day and if the election had been held then we would have had independence.
I never did understand what happened. The slogan, 'It's Scotland's Oil' was working and then suddenly the Brit nats managed to convince the Scots they were financially poorer with oil. 2 years later Thatcher began her onslaught on Scotland and the north of England. Was Thatcher the final straw? With Salmond's political genius yes. Without, no, just scarring. Thank God for Salmond. New Slogan : It's still Scotland's Oil. |
