Anyway as small as it is here's a little act of rebellion I invented and have kept up for the last 20 years. Whenever I post a stamp I always post it with the picture of the queen's head upside down.

The reason I do this is that (in my mind) this symbolises the beheading of the queen and my own ultimate belief in a Scottish republic. I'm not a catholic by the way, I was born a blue nose from Glasgow if I'm honest. But I am still a convinced republican. It would be neat if we could somehow start a tradition whereby a large number of the stamps and letters that got posted in Scotland got posted with the queen's head upside down.

I worried at first that my letters wouldn't get there, but they always have, so there we are. As I said, it's just a small thing, but it's a good tradition to practice and pass on maybe, if you want to show where your loyalties really lie.
