England (Normandy actually) is on it twice.
Scotland once.
ALL of Ireland once. (They wish)
And Wales never.

Nice coins...

"They were also designed by a Welshman..."

Where's the Welsh element in these new coins? And don't say England...

Arrow 'Fake' 1 pound coins in circulation

'Fake' 1 pound coins in circulation

I know our media hasn't covered this too much with all that's going on but 1 in 20 of our 1 pound coins are fake I understand there is a lot of confusion going on within the media reporting 1 in 30 or 1 in 40 etc.etc depending on which media service you visit or you believe - but please check your pockets....

if you visit the sky website it'll explain how many different kinds there are , on doing so myself i found 2 different kinds of coins on me that were fake and please check your change before excepting it when out .

The shops and pubs , wether Intentionally or not are passing them on to the consumer .
I believe this is because the banks are not currently accepting the fake coins for legitimate ones which i found to my own cost.

On checking the treasury website which stated this amounts to 5% of one pound coins in circulation and knowing my war time history as well as i do even the germans in 1943 at the height of swamping the uk with fake currency were only able to accomplish this up to 1.9% so it's pretty bad. this website might be a help to you .
