It certainly can be said of SOME English... and some Scots... and some Welsh... and some Irish... and
some from practically every other country in the world!

I replied in a later post....................

I will say that many of the English are very arrogant, some they think they are better than the rest
of the UK

So I guess that it is me that you are accusing of English racism.....

I stand by my comments and I am ENGLISH and therefore not racist in my comments about the English!!
Oh, I wasn't referring to that thread. I believe it was the Scots views of the English one. Near the end.

That is the thread that I copied from !!!

There is nothing in the latter part of that thread that states that the English are arrogant.....only that the Scots are less arrogant

First of all you are complaining about the English being called arrogant

and then you complain that someone says...the Scots are less arrogant.

It has not been denied that both have arrogant people....so no racism there !!

BACK ON TOPIC NOW !!

I have found that the Scots are much more Patriotic...they get to celebrate their St. Andrews Day
whereas the English do not get to celebrate St. George's Day

In the five years I have been in Scotland I have seen more parades going on, the only bits of patriotism
I saw in England was when the Queen was in the area and on her jubilee !!

PS....what are your own thoughts on your question ??

First of all, Mr. English-Curious, the topic title invited me to comment. After all being a Scot (and a patriotic one at that) there was no way I could let it pass.

Secondly (tho this is maybe where I should have let it pass) I know of your racist attitude and considered this to be an ideal topic for you to show those traits once more, but instead you attempt to try and make out that the racism is being shown towards you... tho that was nicely turned back on you by Babz!

To try to make out this is an utterly innocuous thread is a sign of desperation. If you aren't trying to antagonise Scots on this forum then you really need to try and think before you make any comments... but I think that is exactly what you are attempting to do. Think about some of the topics you have started:

* How much do the Scots hate us, really?
* Differences between Scotland and England
* Scottishness

and of course the classic Scots views of the English... and that's just the topic titles; if anyone reads your comments within those (and other) topics they'd end up having a very low opinion of you (as I have, but that doesn't mean they will have that opinion about every English person as I certainly don't!)

To think you are trying to find a Scots lass to love and cherish you (English guy looking for Scotswoman) and you're also not entirly happy in England (I miss Scotland and England has problems)... we really have to wonder why you are making the comments you do! Fact is, there's no Scottish lass would be with a racist wee troll such as yourself... assuming you could even attract one in the first place!

Anyway, as Babz says, back on topic now... are Scots more patriotic than the English? Do you really have a reasonable answer for that yourself within your utterly innocuous thread?

I would add to that, although we are not allowed to celebrate St. Georges day properly, it's a pain in the arse for alot of us English - and not really a fair reflection on the situation. Also, the Queen would probably imply 'British' nationalism, not English, most young and proud English people don't care to much for the monatchy - to put it mildly.
