Part time MSP / MP

Hey,

Ive started a e-petition on the Prime Ministers website, its aimed at giving a better service for us Scottish constituents at Westminster.

Take a look and think about signing it, the petition says, We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to introduce legislation at UK level that will effect a change in the law that would prohibit Members of (UK) Parliament from serving as Members of Scottish Parliament at the same time

then a little amble says:

Being an elected member of Parliament is a full time (and more) role, to do it effectivly a member must give it his all, the role of a member of parliament cannot and should not be seen to be a part time job.

This goes for both members of the House of Commons, and Members of the Scottish Parliament.

Lets bring an end to this so that people throughout the country can get the services of a full time member of parliament.
