Actually what you say is not completely accurate. The conservatives of the Communist stripe hope to make a permanent alteration in the structure of society and class, whereas the right wing conservatives hope to maintain what they approve of in the old system, and to have as little alteration as necessary.
The conservative Communists, invariably also advocate world revolution which runs counter to the notion of "preserving prevailing ideologies and structures in society". They also wish to eradicate traditional religious structures.
American conservatives are libertarian to a degree and anti-monarchist, Chinese conservatives authoritarian, British conservatives constitutional monarchists etc
