Rather crude indeed, but it does get a point across about the bloody Daily Prolefeed.

Still by far the most popular newspaper in Scotland though, I believe... really makes you wonder about democracy, doesn't it?

Hmm... not really democratic in the proper sense, as it is run by the same cartel that run STV and the Lanarkshire Labour party. Unofficially of course, but the names are circulated about, e.g. Helen Liddell.

I'm meaning in the sense of its readership continuing to read it rather than how it is published.

I don't know why the Record is being singled out for criticism. I buy it regularly and it is no worse than any of the alternatives.

Actually I believe readership is currently deserting it, and the only way the tabloids do at all well the now, is by constant streams of freebies - CDs, DVDs etc.
