One slight problem with the IRA issue. The only parts of the UK that the IRA goes for are the Six Counties in North East Ireland, and England. They don't bomb in Scotland, because Scotland is considered to be a Celtic country (do. Wales, and maybe Cornwall, not sure about the latter) by the IRA. On that score they are right. Scotland is an annexed territory, just like the rest of Ireland once was.
But of course, us all being jolly good old "Brits", we all had our insurance premiums raised after IRA attacks in England. Now, I consider those attacks in Manchester etc immoral, particularly as they targetted civilians, but I also know that we shouldn't have had to pay for what wasn't going to occur here. After all, English insurance premiums never went up when NI ones did.
