To all our American friends out there. As both a proud Scot and a Brit, I am intrested to see how you view us as a nation. Do you see us as a loyal ally, who gave you every support promised post 9/11. Or do you view us a some insignificant, minor European state who is only looking to gain back some international prestige by allying ourselves to you?
I will be very intrested to hear all your replies. |

I think I speak for the majority of Americans who are proud to be of British ancestry (The largest single ethnic group in America is still British), and have nothing but the best regards for the British people, whom we do not think of as being foreigners, but rather as cousins.
And as the Bard says: "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers..." |

Exactly! I think us Brits will always be grateful for America's backing during ww2. Therefore we will always seek to help the U.S when they need our support. I know it is some years later, however, I feel some European nations are extremely ungrateful for the sacrifices both our nations made during this war and to the liberty to which we have afforded them!

but seriously i think it is great, that the two are Allies,we need all the friends we can get,and what the goverment does is'nt always what the American people want,we have elections,to try and change things, but some times,it doesnt always work, maybe if we had a goverment that would elect a 'regular ol joe'instead of all these rich,in it for them selves, elect someone who has had to work for a living ,someone who knows what it is to start from nothing, someone who has had to go a day or two with out eating out at a fancy resturant, then maybe things would change but until then we have to take what we get.
