Many American's are proud to have an ally in Britain. But personally, I wish Blaire would have stood against Bush with the war on Iraq, instead of following blindly.

To Foxx: I don't think the largest single ethnic group in America is British. I'm prety sure the largest ethnic group in German. Most Americans are a mixture of many different nationalities anyways.

Germans? Are you sure? Perhaps if you look at the breakdown as separate nationalities --English, Scots, Welsh and Irish-- Instead of as "British" then the Germans would come out on top....But the main point about immigration is that America adopted the English language, literature, philosophy (especially political philosophy!), culture, and so forth....So even if your ancestors come from other European nations, Asia, Africa you grow up in what could be termed a "British" nation.

In regards to Blair, I say, "Three Cheers" for his stand with America against Islamic terrorism! It took courage when so much of his party was against the very idea!
