I guess I am scotch irish
names in my tree that are scots irish names or scotch low landers islanders

Lowlanders are one thing - islanders another.
BTW, whilst many Americans claim 'Scotch'/Irish as their ancestry, we here in the country of origin prefer Scottish or Scots. We no longer use 'Scotch' to describe ourselves, only for foodstuffs like Scotch pies, Scotch eggs, and what Americans call our whisky. We are SCOTS.

yeah but over in USA i think we use the term scotch irish and most of us live abroad
maybe it will turn out im more related to William Wallace than king Edward-i dont think thats true for me, but just rollo a viking who is related to him

There's a lot of it about, Polwarth - and we're used to being lectured on what Scotland is/was/seems to be by people who have never been here or lived here, but continue to fantasise that they're somehow "Scottish", as opposed to partially descended from a Scot several generations ago...
