I did a wander along Rose St a couple of weeks ago. A bit different to the old days. There used to be a funny little cop-shop with no windows, just a blue door in a wall. It was handy for any drink-fuelled fights in the street of an evening, when the boys in blue would come trotting out for action like a scene from The Pirates of Penzance. Couldn't find the door this time !

I notice the sports/gun shop there on a corner. I think it's called Barbour ? Didn't that used to be Field & Stream ?
