A new experience for me!

My almost 6 year old grandson, Kendall, is here visiting! His Mom brought him to Boise on the plane, his Grandpa and I drove there and picked him up and brought him home as his Mom flew back to Iowa. He gets to be here for 2 weeks, alone, then the rest of his family will be here for a visit. He will go home with them when they leave again. Right now he is on his "very own vacation".

I am kind of worn out! I know why younger women have small children!

He's been so good, just is an active little boy. Today we played in the sprinkler, build an obstacle course to jump over, made a castle out of chairs and blankets and smeared pudding all over his face. (I didn't help do that but I got to clean it up!)

We are going camping this coming weekend. He can't wait to sleep in a tent and cook his dinner on a campfire.

This means Gramma will have to sleep on the ground. . . owwww!

My grandmother used to say "Its nice to see you coming and its nice to see you going".Now that that I have 11 grandchildren and number twelve on the way and presently a great grandchild I and my wife are well aware of what it is like to have to entertain chidren.But in all honesty we would not have it any other way,especially since Grandma does all the work,because I have for some reason forgotten how to change diapers.

Wll, luckily he's out of diapers now!

He and Grandpa are out putting the tent together to make sure it's all there, and has no holes or weird smells! There are Great Plans to sleep in it tonight in the yard, sort of practicing for camping! I hope they have fun in there together!

It's only 10:40 AM and I already need a nap!
