H&M (Top Shop equivalent)

I don't know about Top Shop, but I'll have you know that H&M is the most prestigous cheap shop in
the whole of Sweden

OMG a comparison with a shop you don't know about

If you had likened H & M to New Look you would have been nearer the mark !!

You want cheap in Scotland...try Primark and Matalan...not that you could buy a kilt at one of them !!

You do know troll is originally a Germanic/Scandinavian word for a supernatural creature with
a hunchback btw? (much like a Swedish version of Loch Ness)

Please don't insult our lovable Nessie

Actually I've been to Top Shop, and I didn't think it was so cheap

Primark and Matalan, cool, thanks! It's not that I expect to find the most wellmade handicrafted kilt there, but in case I run out of money (being a student and all) I thought maybe they had some really cheap imitations just in case. (just like we have in Sweden with our traditional gear) My bad for thinking even for a second it could be the same over there...

Please don't insult our lovable Nessie

I wasn't aware that one of the most precious and national mythological creatures to us Swedes, was an insult to you.

There is no way that H & M can be compared with Top Shop as the prices can be at least double those
of H & M, thats why I mentioned New Look !!

I really don't think that 'fashion' stores will have 'proper' kilts

You might be able to buy a kilt from a Charity Shop if you are running out of funds...I do know that some
of them here in Aberdeen often have them for sale !!

Nessie doesn't have a hunchback and has a cuter face than your troll

No thanks - no sense in kicking someone when they're down.
I gave you advice - you seem to think that there will be cheap imitation kilts for women (although they are a man's dress item, unless you are a woman highland dancer or in a pipe band) in cheap toot n tatt clothes shops. There ARE cheap kilts to be had, in many of the gift shops on the Mile. However, they are usually badly made and with very little material in them. Still, on ye go, hen...

Babz

Babz, haha, actually a charity shop is not a bad idea thanks
I do however have funds for a 'proper' kilt, it's just that I like to have options in case of emergency. (and it's good to know about different price ranges)
And thanks for clearing the store-part out for me, I'm a bit unknowing I guess

Nessie is UNDOUBTEDLY much cuter than our troll. Our troll even eats children and detest humans in general, and yet we are still somehow emotionally bound to it
