My mom has been working there for the past year and I stayed in Bearsden (where she lives), a really nice suburb of Glasgow, over the new year holiday. There are some cool stone houses in that area. Actually there are a bunch all over the country. We even visited a couple of medieval towns with cobbled streets. (If I can ever get my scanner to work, I would post some pics...)
The weather was alright; it was sunny about four out of the three weeks I was there. But it did snow, and in about 18 hours, there was about three inches of snow. One of my favorite parts of the trip was all the whisky distilleries I got to visit. It's my favorite drink. We got to drive through the highlands going to the distilleries. -Zeke |

Zeke that sounds so great! So did the trip to Ireland.
We will be looking forward to those shots! (...er...the photos not the whisky necessarily.) ![]() I loved the stone housing in Glasgow. This is a shot of one of the places we stayed at called the Kirklee. It's gardens were beautiful but the photo does not do them justice. ------------------ Di (aka ^..^ ~ Willy) |

Sounds like you had a pretty neat trip Zeke. What's wrong with your scanner? I finally figured mine out.
Now, I was trying to post on here like Di and Diane do, and it won't let me cut and paste. ![]() Saw where you posted somewhere else that you also tried to get into a fight in a pub??? Hope you were kidding. You know, all you needed to do is ask Matt. <hehe> ------------------ Gaol, Dilseachd, Cairdeas |

Well, I have a scanner but I don't have the software for it.
Are you looking forward to all the neat stuff that will come to be in the new era? I saw on the news that they made an artificial eye for blind people. They put some kind of implant in the skull that uses electrodes to bypass optic nerves. Pretty interesting... -Zeke |

Hey Zeke, I saw that one on the news too. Apparently thou, you have to have had vision before for it to work. Something about "memory." The doctor they interviewed on GMA said that Stevie Wonder really wasn't a good candidate since he was blind since birth. But, Stevie wants to try it anyways.
I like the thing about the really small computer chips that hold millions of info. Pretty cool. ------------------ Gaol, Dilseachd, Cairdeas |
