Big uns!

The megalodon (pronounced /ˈmɛɡələdɒn/ MEG-ə-lə-don, "big tooth" in Greek, from μέγας and ὀδούς) was a giant shark that lived in the prehistoric times during the late Oligocene epoch and Neogene period,[1] approximately 25 to 1.5 million years ago, and was a super-predator.

Paleontological research indicates that C. megalodon was the largest and most powerful shark in vertebrate history. Scientists endorse that C. megalodon would have been 15.9–20.3 metres (52–67 ft) in length and 47–103 metric tons (52–114 short tons) in weight.

Bigger than a single decker bus.

Ha, coincidence - I saw a telly programme about thon big scary fish at the weekend. I don't often see television so I suddenly feel ever so connected to popular culture now! It was on Nat. Geo. or Discovery or some such thing. I thought most of the sciency men researching it looked as though they would be trainspotters or stamp collectors or Star Trek fans had they not happily found a career in looking for this thing's big teeth.

And after that, there was a programme all about scary jellyfish. Telly to give us all nightmares.
