DotNet mainly nowadays (VB/C#) with SQL Server on the database side. I've also been doing a lot of ASP.net lately. I enjoy it. Good way to make a living.

I'm a developer, a bit of a grey beard, so I don't write too much code myself any more. What we are doing is (mostly)Java / MySql/Oracle for mixed or homogeneous Linux /BSD /Sun /Microsoft environments.. Microsoft is the pain because they don't play nicely, but they seem to be giving in a bit in places,,, Most of our customers want to get away from them in a very bad way. Some of them are still locked in to MS ( UK and US mostly) so I'm designing this (nasty) Active Directory layer using JNI so we can reside on MS networks in a native fashion. Don't get me wrong, MS has some nice tech and AD is very cool in a lot of ways, ( I used to do nothing but MS development so I know of what I speak) it's just the all or nothingness of thier approach to everything that gaes me the boak... Open source is a much better way...
I'm also working on an option that involves what amounts to an appliance to host our db server (MySQL on freeBSD/Linux) so we can just plug in and have browser based interface, maybe via java webstart, this will work well for secure distribution over the net as well, we have clients in many countries and all time zones and most of them have users in many or all time zones.
