Religion in Scotland

I think you misunderstood my comments
on the annual Orange Parades. I did
not mention it was a social problem
as this is not the issue. What I
am saying is that these parades indeed
reinforce sectarianism. By the
way JJ mentions the separate schools
which is another barrier. The only other
country which follows this type
of separatism is NI.. I do admit
Scotland is not as bad as NI but
it still has a fair way to go before
you could call it really secular.
Maybe the first step is separatism
from England which would ease the
suffocation of the Monarchy.There
again that is another major topic

Maybe I'm biased as I live on a major Orange Walk route.Saturday morning bliss interrupted by the vulgar thumping of that damned drum.Followed by those horrible flutes.I detest it,personally. Also,it sets a bad example in that it gives us all the right to gratuitously annoy each other in a similar way.OK so maybe no civil war but what about my saturday mornings?

About those flute bands....

There are lots of links to other loyalist flute bands.
How many of these exist in Scotland?
