The reason I don't have a religion is because religion does not change your LIFE! The ONLY ONE that can change your LIFE is JESUS CHRIST. He's the ONLY ONE that died on the cross for our sins. He died so we can have LIFE through HIM. I'm so grateful for my salvation. If it wasn't for HIM SHEDING HIS BLOOD, for us we would be doom. I was raised in a religion which I did everything I suppose to do but it didn't get me nowhere, I was 2 different person, one in church and one outside church. THANK YOU JESUS

I'm glad for you, but please don't tell others what's right or wrong concerning religion.
There are more ways of truth than you may know.

By the way, believing in your salvation by Jesus Christ, don't you think this is also a kind of religion?
What do you call religion and what not?

Arrow JESUS

JESUS DID NOT COME TO THIS EARTH TO START A RELIGION. RELIGION IS WHAT MAN DOES TO TRY AND MAKE HIMSELF RIGHT WITH GOD. MAN HAS NEVER BEEN ABLE TO SATISFY THE HOLINESS OF GOD. ONLY JESUS TAKING OUR PLACE ON THE CROSS, AND FAITH IN THAT SHED BLOOD WILL MAKE MAN RIGHT WITH GOD. GOD DESIRES TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH MAN, MUCH LIKE A RELATIONSHIP IN A MARRIAGE, INTIMATE, FAITHFUL, DEVOTED TO ONE ANOTHER, RELIGION IS COLD AND DEAD, AND THERE IS NO POWER THERE TO CHANGE SOMEONES LIFE. AS FAR AS THERE BEING MANY TRUTHS, THAT IS A LIE. JESUS SAID "I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME." HE WAS VERY BOLD AND UNAPOLOGETIC, AND SO ARE HIS PEOPLE. WE ARE NOT ASHAMED OF OUR LORD AND HIS TEACHINGS, AND WE DO NOT ACCEPT OTHER TEACHINGS OR PHILOSOPHIES TO HOLD ANY WATER WITH GOD.

I refuse to read anything completely written in capital letters.

I think I can speak for many others here. It's awful, and if you're not going to stop it, accept that you'll be ignored!

I think what she's trying to say, and it's how I feel... that religion is something that people made, to try to make themselves close to God. It's people reaching up to God... hoping they can reach him. Some people make "christianity" (I'm using that term loosely) out to be religion where these people make up rules and labels and stuff like that. But the difference is... Jesus Christ came to us. He knew that no matter how hard we tried to reach up to meet God, we'd never reach. No matter how good we tried to be or how many good things we could do ... it still wasn't good enough. So instead, he reached down to us. And true Christianity... it's a relationship w/ Jesus, not a religion.

Ok I understand...it depends on the way you characterize "religion".
I agree that religion is something made by human beings, not for God, not out of an ideal, but only for themselves, to feel better, to give themselves the feeling to be closer to God.

I don't belong to a religion. On the paper, I'm catholic, but I don't feel like this.
I've, of course, learnt a lot about christianity, I#ve read the Quran, I've read a book b the Dalai Lama and many others, and I've thought a lot about all this.
I don't have a religion, but I've got a good idea how to live.
I don't consider it the only and best way for everybody, I don't consider it a way at all.
It's just the way I live, nothing else.
I don't know who God is and how God is, and I don't care.
It doesn't matter.

Let me throw is my two cents

The only who can change a life is yourself which may be in response to the teachings of Christ. Which are wonderful.

However, I don't practice "Christianity" as a religion because of what Man has done to the teachings of Christ.

Actually I consider myself a Pagan (that's not a bad thing to be.) Is it a religion? Maybe.

Many years of study have brought me to my beliefs. Each person's path is a little different. Vive la difference!
