One of the girls on my floor went up to Scotland this past weekend for a wedding and she said it snowed up there! Wish it would snow here too. There's nothing but rain and a lot of wind!

It doesn't get that cold in Vancouver ever and the coldest I've ever experienced there was -16 and that was once in many years.

As for where I am now we usually get a total of about 2 wks over the winter that cold. Just been spoiled the last couple of years no days colder than -20. The advantage is sun but that's why I miss rain. It's warmer and better for the respiratory system - at least mine.

Once at my home it was - 43. Needless to say I didn't go anywhere that day. My car wouldn't start. BTW we plug them in at night.

So maybe I need to exercise my Will and I'll get Rain(just to keep to the religion theme.)

Mamie,

are you talking about °F or °C?

However, you won't have much rain anyway I guess

I've never been in Canada, I don't really know where Alberta is...in the north?
I remember, you said you were born somewhere around the southern west coast, or am I wrong?

Are these temperatures unusual for your region?
I've never had the experience of less than -10 °C. Cold enough.
I prefer warmer regions and therefore tolerate the rain...

I don't have a car, and if I had one it would be no problem to start it but I guess it could swim away...lol
Ok enough about weather.
We always wish what we can't get, don't we?

As a student of medicine I wish you rain for your respiratory system

Continuing with my early reply, I don't think arguing about small differences in religious beliefs should matter. At this time we should stand together in faith based on what happened on September11. I think we should put aside our differences. Muslim, Protestant, Jew, Buddhist. It should not matter what we believe so long as we believe.

That's why I choose to believe nothing. Well anyone can have their own beliefs, I don't want to take any sides, but remain neutral.

I don't want to sound like a heathen, but no, I don't believe in anything. Well, I do leave open the possibility that there is a God and whatever else there is a heaven or afterlife, etc. but I'm more at the non-belief side. I have thought long and hard about it plenty of times and I give myself heaches when I think about it so I decide not to think about it as much and if I don't think about it, none of it is very real. It would be nice if I could believe something, for instance, that if no one cares, then at least there's always a God watching over me and making sure I don't get into trouble and that I'll have heaven to go to after this life. But I don't. All of this might sound wierd to you all who do believe in something, but it is just the way I am and I can't explain it. It probably has something to do with family. A lot of people I know who feels strongly about something were taught by their parents and my parents have never mentioned anything to me ever, but I have thought about it just because I hear things from other kids in school and wonder. So, anyway, I'm in doubt.
