It is good to have you aboard and I hope you will have a fruitful discussion here.
Inerrancy of the Bible is a difficult subject even among those of mainline Christian denominations. Basically you have 3 positions (I may be oversimplify this): Those who believe that every word, historical event as well as every scientific event in world history as described in the Bible are without error. Those in the middle of the road and still very Evangelical in their approach to Christianity believe that the Bible is correct in everything needed for salvation. And lastly, there are those who believe the Bible is a wonderful book just like other wonderful books.
Honestly, I struggle with the "innerrancy" theory simple because the theory states that it is the original manuscripts of the Bible that are without error, not the Bible. Here lies the problem: no one has ever seen the original manuscripts. In my reading of the manuscripts I also find it interesting that the older and closer the manuscript get to the originals the more mistakes one will find.
