Where do I find assurance when I'm so insecure?
When I search heart and mind and find them inpure. I've examined myself to find my own worth, Only to find sin was present since birth. It is said in faith, each man has a measure. I've searched for naught, much to my displeasure. So how is it I can be assured? When the way of faith is so obsecure. I'm told faith can be found in many ways, And faith's journey can take a great many days. I know faith isn't always something that is simply learned. Sometimes through life's experiences it must be earned. I realize the way of faith is not always clear. It may be to find faith I must conquer my fears. I'm uncertain which path I must take, But I know it's a quest I can not forsake. And when I'm feeling weary and weak, I'll open my bible for the comfort I seek. When I sit and open the Book, Perhaps in there for faith I'll look. Maybe it's there among all of Christ's lessons, Amongst the many promises and blessings. Author and Property of: P. McKenna |
