He begins by whispering your name,
From that point on your never the same.

To him you will find yourself being pulled.
He can't be avoided and won't be fooled.

As suddenly and softly as a breeze,
He stirs hearts and minds, and senses he'll tease.

Catching you when you're not aware,
That is when he lays your heart bare.

To him all things will be revealed.
There is nothing that remains concealed.

Beware, for he can enter your sleep.
Evil he binds, your soul he can keep.

He is insistent on being heard.
Thoughts of ignoring him are absurd.

For those who answer him, he unveils the truth,
And of all he speaks, he offers the proof.

He can give your soul ease so it can find rest,
But there are times you must endure his tests.

His movements are unbeknown to men,
Convicting one and all of their sin.

His judgements are sure and are swift,
But he can bestow some wonderful gifts.

There are times he says nothing, but I know he is near.
And those are the moments that I cherish and hold dear.

He is as ancient as he is wise,
And there in my friend, the truth does lie.

Long ago a promise was made.
The strength of those words will never fade.

It is him that he promised he would send,
My teacher, my counselor and my friend.
