Are those who say intelectual integrity is a lofty ideal saying that their arguments donot have integrity? I'm sure not so I think that argument should be detracted.

Prophesy is interesting if it is taken in it's own context. With in the levitical theological steam it was particularily idealistic. It also dealt with issues that were socio/religio-political in nature. There concern was from a particulat thought world of empirical wisdom- you do this there for this happens. The extent they actually declared visions directly from god on sokme kind of live wirew is doubtful. There is evidence to suggest that there were schools of prophets in ancient israel- i.e. they werre political and social commentators from the religious paradigm of Israel (the writing is in particular structured forms of adress, some is written with musical terminology-note the "selah" in habakuk).

The prophesies that came to pass were primarily on the political level and with "intelectual integrity " one cannot rule out that this was political forecasting as much as anything else.

Or are we not going to use intelectual integrity?

Understanding thee the true context of these things may at first to the believer to attack their faith but when you take the cultural setting what is being said about GOD

So exactly how much breathing room are you granting God in your well-framed hypothesis sir?

If you don't have a clue what you're talking about, and especially if you cannot argue your case, waffle!

Talk about trying to dazzle folks with BS...
