Arrow sinless?

mcil, you asked how he knew you needed to be punished? It is quite well known that we are all sinners; not one person on earth today can call themselves sinless. Back in Jesuses time, no one was sinless either. We have sinned so much that we deserve punishment, whatever it may be. our sins are so great in number, because we have sinned since we were young. Luckily for us, Jesus was there and loved us so dearly that he voluntarily took the punishment for us. How can you not say thank you to someone who has spared you? I think that this parable was very good to read, and rather inspiring.

If you don't "deserve a whipping" you are saying you have never sinned. Is that possible? You can sin in your thoughts, not just through actions.

The whipping we deserve is not just a rod across our back. It refers to eternal damnation in the lake of fire where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. That is what Jesus told us. Can you still take it yourself? And can you be absolutely positive Jesus did not say this? You're taking chances with eternity.

The Israelites had a choice of God's rules or God's grace when they were in the desert. They chose the rules. They said, whatever God says, we will do.
