Talking JUNKYARDS IQ is a whopping 52 . . . NOT SO GOOD.

Dear junkyard,

The last I checked this was a religious forum. If you don't care about the discipline, and have nothing intelligent to contribute to the topic, kindly PISS OFF! It is clear that your name fits you well; your small, frail mind is THE intellectual junkyard of Scotland.com.

HEEHEEHEE

dear annamac
i see your intellectual prowess has taken a knock. why can't my comments be valid, in your eyes? from what i can see you argue yourself in circles and come up with no real conclusions. you have no more answers than the next person.
you might have argued why i SHOULD care but you chose instead to defend your hurt ego.

You are free to express whatever views you like, but to some people this issue isn't claptrap but a serious subject for discussion. If you want to raise valid objections or challenge any of the points made you are free to do so.I personally don't take offence at any remarks made here but it would be common courtesy to respect others and not to disparage what to them are important beliefs.

Wow! Now I know how you guys end up running around in circles. It says in the first chapters of the Bible that God created Adam in his own image. I wasn't talking of the incarnation of God in Christ at all.
You can call God Supernatural or natural or what ever, it is still scriptural that God can and does have a part in every bit of creation. Everything is tied to God, if it wasn't, how would we know to search God out? Everything is a part of God, because it came from God. Just as our children are a part of us because they came from us. It even says that if we failed to praise God, the rocks and trees would exalt him instead. Everything in Creation knows about God, feels God, is connected to God, that's the way he created it. God gave us free will to choose to seek out that connection and use it or not. Nothing else in creation has that. Imagine what it would be like without God everywhere around you - it would be hell. God is everywhere, in all places and all times, that is why He/She is God!

I have to go to work but I'll continue later.

Smile Fascinating Discussion

Hi, I hope you won't mind some input that is perhaps simplistic in comparison to the eloquence that has gone before!

First, Annamac, I wish I had the talents you have been given! Your arguments are WONDERFUL! Thank you so much for the encouragement that has come from reading them!
I fully concur with you!

One thing that has always fascinated me is how willing people are to accept parts of the Word, but not all of it! I consider myself fortunate to have been educated in a Christian school which taught the truthes established through the sacrifices of our early church fathers---amazing men of God! I degress...even with my background, I went through a questioning phase & became kind of lenient with my interpretation of scripture. A dear friend put forth the following argument. The Bible is the inherent word of God -- complete & true. This is what the scriptures tell us. With this in mind, how can someone argue any differently. Because if one part of this book were false...the entire thing would become so. In this manner, Christ professed to be God (which is actually part of the argument that Annamac will address with Andy-J, was it?)...if this is not true...this means that He was the biggest liar & therefore, the entire scriptures should be chucked out the window...so to speak. Of course, we know this is not the case. History itself provides far too much evidence to the contrary. Of course, I am not nearly as effective as Annamac, when it comes to this type of argument...but in my 33 years, I have met no one who is not willing to accept some part of the scriptures...whether saved, searching or in denial...which indicates to me...that there is a phenomenon that I have heard called "the impossibility of disbelief."

Well, I wish I had more time to write, however, I must dash off to the theater for rehearsal!

Thanks!
