Question

hi wake up
thanks for your interest. i can only give my opinion, and opinions are as diverse as people who have them!

i am pro-choice, i have never had an abortion and would do everything within my power to prevent myself from experiencing an unwanted pregancy.

i think that in an ideal world abortions would be very rare indeed. but the world is not ideal and humans have many failings.

i have friends who have had abortions, although it was a difficult decision for them (and some will never feel totally comfortable about it) they know they made the right decision.

some people think that abortion is immoral or murder, that is their opinion and they are entitled to it. some of these people experience unwanted pregnancies themselves, they learn a difficult lesson. it's easy to judge others, until you're in their shoes.

many people think that bringing a child into the world is a huge responsibility and that it is best to be emotionally and financially able to deal with that. many people who experience an unwanted pregnancy know that they are not ready.

once you start writing you realise there are so many other things to say - i could just go on and on here.
you are welcome to ask more questions, but please don't attack me for my beliefs - this should be a place for dialouge and discussion rather than somewhere to go to anonymously abuse people!

Maggie thanx for the response.

One of the things that you have raised is personal choice.

But is not that you are denying the personal choice of that child.....LIFE.

This "choice" sounds if humans have so much control over issues and situations. When actually they clearly do not in a democratic society.

The only ppol to benefit from choice are the rich and wealthy.

Do you agree?
