When asked where does God live? most people will give one of three answers.
1. In our hearts. 2. In Heaven. 3. The more spiritual will answer that He is omnipresent. Genesis 1:1 says "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth". This says that He wasn't in heaven at that point in time and was in the process of creating the earth. Where was He and what was He doing? If there is a simple explaination and I have missed it please tell me. Yours full of faith, Gordon |

i don't think there's a simple explanation when the subject is about God. if you can find a simple explanation about the origin of your life and its existence, then probably you could find in your mind, and in your heart, a simple explanation about it's creator( who is God).
personally, i think God is just a creation of men, in order to give a reason for the existence and purpose of everything(living and non-living). why does God's whereabouts matter to you? |

Gods whereabouts is not important to me as I believe that He is omnipresent. However this board consists of a variety of free thinkers and I am interested in hearing what they think. What I put in about "a simple explaination" was not because I believe that there is a simple explaination but purely because I don't remember hearing one or reading about one before and it is possible that I missed it. I believe that God is the reason and purpose for the existance of everything (living and non-living) Does God matter to you? ![]() |

simple explanation.
when the Bible talks about "the heavens" it means the sky, and space, as the people who wrote it don't know as much about astronomy as we do now., so it doesn't mean that God was hanging about and decided to make a house for himself whilst making the earth. I would go for the omnipresent option, for now. ------------------ The early bird may catch the worm, But it's the second mouse that gets the cheese |

yes, God does matters to me (not much, though), simply because i was brought up into the Catholic faith. As for Him being the reason for my existence, yes, i think i could agree with you on that one. The purpose of my existance is Him? Hmmm... i don't think i'll agree with you on that.i know i'm alive because of God, but i don't think He is the answer to the question of why i still exist. i know there's a reason for my life, but i don't believe that it is God. p.s. sorry, for the delay of my reply. i check this website once a week. |
