Hi everyone.

If we put religion aside and we look at what happens when abortion is legalised. This is the case in England.

This is what happens:

1.One parent families with mostly women as sole parent.

2.High divorce rate.

3.The sexual exploitation of women.

4.Family break ups.

5.The role of husband and wife is discredited.

6.Rise to prostitution.

7.Under age sex.

8.The number of marriages fall and "living together" and affairs increase (and sleeping around).

9.One night stand.....introduction of date rape pills.

......this is the depressing and exploiting situation of women in the west.

In the ancient times, ppol use to bury girls alive. This is occuring again in the form of abortion.

In addition, the developments in science have made it easier for parents to choose the sex of their child. This is prevalent in India and US.

In the west, they use women as marketing tools to sell products such as

a.flushy cars
b.ice cream
c.newspapers+magazines

The list is endless. The next time you are watching tv ads or advertising hoardings/posters, very carefully pay attention to what the women is wearing and doing?

In the west they are having problems (due to women are not covered)such as

1.stalkers
2.child abusers
3.affairs and divorce
4.rapes

And much more, now they are further exploiting women by introducing legislation such as quick divorce.

Now can the female members pls tell me would they like their (or future)husband's kissing their mother/sister as in the west?

Of course, this kind of behaviour will lead to affairs.

The "Girl power" phenomenon is further exploiting women. It is telling the women to go out there and get abused even more.

In terms of legislation, they are increasing women representation in the legislature. This sounds good. They have introduced equal opportunities to provide balance.

These are just to keep women happy in order to carry out further exploitation.(please relate to the beginning).

They are encouraging women to have silicon implants in their breasts. They are abusing your natural beauty for their sexual satisfaction. Then it is difficult to breast feed due to contamination.Diseases like breast cancer are increasing.

What are your views?

Kia ora, I am a young female New Zealander that can kind of relate to what you are saying. In NZ, Abortion is a common thing. I don't agree with abortion, but I have been trained as a Peer Sexuality Support Person, where I have learnt from the professionals, about sex and sexuality. One common problem in NZ is teenage pregnancy. I learnt about the options a pregnant teenager could take.1. have the baby. 2.adoption. 3.Abortion...As a strong believer of Maori culture, my family will never support abortion, 'cause no one in my geneology have ever had an abortion, 'cause abortion has never been acknowledged by Maori in the past, so I will never, ever have an abortion myself. But I have learnt to accept peoples opinions(I am not trying to undermine what you have to say)as a PSS support person I have to accept that abortion is what some people do, 'cause of family disgrace, family abuse, and being shunned by family for being pregnant, some choose abortion. These are the problems of NZ today, with all cultures.I just want to support you with what you have to say, keep up the good job.

Thank you Maria for your response.

Although you have pointed out that abortion is based on personal choice. You have not mentioned how women are being exploited.

The killing of an unborn baby is immoral and it is a crime. If you have taken the life of a person it is murder.

Am I right or not?

analysis? nonson - i don't see much analysis
wake up call - i would like to see some logical and coherant evidence for all the claims you are making
since i have a brain (yes, strange enough since i am a woman and so open to exploitation on all fronts) i can not see any necessary causal links between many of the claims you are making

Maggie, your participation is appreciated.

I dont want to start a lecture.Swiftly getting on to the point is that women are being exploited in western countries. The sad fact is they dont realise this.

Question

Hey Wake Up

Do you think that all western women are exploited............and do you think this all has to do with the legalization of abortion?

well put janet

wake up call do you think:
1. non-western women aren't explioted
2. men aren't explioted
3. western women weren't exploited until abortion was legalised

i agree that many western women are being explioted and don't realise it but:

(and this is to nonson too)

you seem to be saying that the legalisation of abortion has 'caused' a number of other social ills
i come from an academic tradition where you just can not make claims like that unless you have good evidence (so stupid, childish and unintelligent isn't it nonson?)

a number of changes have occurred in western societies which have probably contributed to the social ills you list (i agree that most of these are depressing), you have to look at the whole picture, rather than pointing the blame at something you disapprove of (ie abortion).

men are now also used as marketing tools in advertising - it is the nature of our consumerist society, there are worse things.

you claim a number of problems have arisen in western culture due to women not being covered - most of these problems are universal, they are just more publicisied in the west (most notably rape and child abuse, since the 1970's wave of feminism;
my mother had not heard of rape and child abuse until her mid-20's)
