Who locked out Nonson??

I cannot believe that Nonson's topics was locked???If the reason fore the it was that he argued with everyone, the man had a statement, and surely he had something to say, and by god, did he get someone's attention.!!! Yes , i agree , his laguage, though beutyfull, was very harsh, but really , who gives a damn, he didn't demand any to reply to his topic, but everyone did. I cannot believe that those who preach of being openminded , really are not so themselves.! Did anyone ever hear of the free speach?
I am to say the least , very disappointed about the act, and if there we're any other reason to litterally shutting up nonson, i would be thrilled to know what.
I have had no other thing but pleasure out of this site, so would someone please explain???

Only the moderators and the administration of scotland.com have the power to 'lock' topics. I started one on censorship and ultimately asked the moderators to lock it once I felt that it had gone as far as it could.

As far as Nonson is concerned, I'm sorry, but if he has been banned or locked out that is his responsibility. Such action will only be taken if it is felt by the administration that a member has been contravening the BBS rules.

I have to agree with liv, I know he stirred things up and annoyed just about everyone but I think he should have been allowed to continue to give his opinions- If we all agreed and if we were all the same, this place would be pretty boring.

While on one hand there is free speech, there is responsibility, and there is the fact that one's right to free speech ends at one's nose.

Not trying to get too personal here thanatos but how can you talk about responsibility when you signed the guy up for junk mail, is this responsible?
Surely the responsibility is on us not to get too upset when people express different views to us or their views in a different way to us?..
