Nonson, aren't you doing the same thing, insulting and throwing barbs, as the ones you protest started with you? Believe me, I have read others doing the same thing, but it still doesn't make it right to return the favor.

Aren't you showing the same "elistist" attitude when making fun of someone's vocabulary, because it doesn't measure up to your's? I cringe when I read someone else doing it to another on here, because I view it as a personal attack.

As far as Than is concerned. She is a teenager, possibly underage. I hope she corrects that childish prank she committed.

You know what Becca I have been seeing a lot of big words being used....I gave up the dictionary and decided to make up my own definitions!

A while ago, I put up the term 'hypocracy' as a way of trying to image what was prevalent on this board. Though it would never pass muster with the coinage experts, it nonetheless conveys a sense of things here. For an explanation: hypo denotes as being beneath or under, and cracy is more simply 'hard'. Combining one gets 'under a hard rule'. Those knowledgeable of the various -ocracies will get the point. What I intended it to convey was the hard rule of ignorance which too many members of board fall victim. _____________________________________________ The epitome of that ignorance was reached when Madame Moderator sent me a communique in barely coherent English. I, at first, thought it to be a joke. Then I realized that it was not a joke, but was rather the product of that same dark ignorance. To say the least, her post sets forth the very clear policy of discrimination and intimidation that underlies Scotland.com. She reserves the right of Scots to use insult and stupidity, but does not extend the same right to those out-siders who are wont to defend themselves and their beliefs from just such idiocy. She is barely able to construct a simple sentence, yet she is quite capable of determining what is specific in a post, and what is non-specific. God save us from such brain power and easy discernment. _____________________________________________ I have not initiated a course of insults, but have responded to them. If Madame Moderator believes that everyone is entitled to voice their opinion, then I say right on. But she also ought to have the fundamental intelligence to know that there are others who are going to respond to posted opinions. This is especially true when it comes to those who lack the intelligence to form a viable opinion.
First Of all Every1 on here knows I will not toleratet he insults that are flown back and forth. They have been told as well to respect the others opinion, but I will step in when insults are sent back with the intent to hurt. I will not tolerate it from anyone on here. Its fine to say your opinion, but do it without insults. That goes for every1 and they know it.

Not at all Janet. I said somewhere else that I could only understand the insults.

I never bothered with the dictionary myself. Besides, I only have the "small" word version anyways.

Gee Thanks nonson!

You and your studies are quite interesting, but do you really need to conduct them in such an abrasive manner? Is there any need to use us common people of "sub-human intellect" as your guinee pigs?!..

I'm reluctant to critisise you Nonson partly because I don't dislike you and partly because everyone critising you almost justifies your incredibly defensive nature but I had to give my tuppence worth...
