Hi Muslim, welcome to s.com.....It is good to have other opinions, but I must agree with Becca, everybody thinks their religion is the only true one.......so I guess everyone is right.
Becca, do you know Qur'an, or can you read real fast..... Hello Goose, how are you doing. Suffice it to say I am looking for spirituality not salvation, because I believe it is more important and one will eventually lead to the other I hope you find what your looking for. ............. Anto, thanks you, I guess I'll have to keep searching.......pudding ![]() [This message has been edited by pudding450 (edited 12 May 2000).] |

Hi dear Muslim,
I've never heard about a prophet after Jesus in the Bible - altough I've read it several times - maybe you are referring to Holy Spirit that Jesus left to us. Anyway if you want to give me those details...It would be really OK. For we christians no prophet could have a sense after Jesus who is God and He is still with us day by day till the end of time. Jesus taught we are God's sons He called God "Father" and now we pray God like He has done. Jesus taught that we are not slavers we are sons...nothing to fear, just love him as we love our parents. God doesn't want something by us, He wants to give us a new existence as His beloved crature and children ![]() ...God is love, unconditioned love is the key to open all human mysteries.... ![]() A particular greeting to Pudding ...be careful...you are risking to do the same end of St. Francis!! (It would be really a so happy thing...I remember of you when I'll go to Assisi the next time!) Peace be with you. ![]() ------------------ BYe Anto |

This is an interesting thread. Becca your reference to the King James version of the bible is excellant. My husband and I have a copy of the Geneva Bible, 1599 edition. We have compared verse after verse and found that the Kind James is so adulterated its pathetic. I prefer the Geneva 1599 edition over any other bible out there. The reason I prefer it is simple. The Kind James version was written so that King James, who I have no affection for, wanted the people to revere him as something more than he was. He wasnt the good guy that history paints him. But then history is written by those who have won the wars and usually are tyrants and diviants. I also saw that someone mentioned that there were no prophits mentioned after Jesus? Well excuse me but what were the apostles after the saviors death? some where considered prophets. Now as to my religious upbringing I have to say that it was Catholic, then Mormon, then I went to a cult. To this day I refuse to walk into a church. I will study and research and learn on my own if I so desire, but I wont go back into a church or become a member of another church. God know's my heart, thats all I need. God is all there is to me anylonger, but of course the Savior and the Holy Ghost are there as well. But sorry I dont believe that they are all one being. Kinda impossible if you ask me, but thats my opinion.
