Arie who justifies what obedience and wickedness is? surely it is not only the people that believe in Jehovah God. that will go to your heaven, or is that what you believe?

Unhappy

Andrew,

Your postings of May 8th and May 25th are the most well-reasoned and heartfelt responses that I have ever read on the entire Scotland.com forum. I let Christ into my life in 1968 when I was 9 years old. It is now 2000. You do the math. That is a very long time to walk with the Lord; it is also a long time to shame Him. As for my disgusting posting on March 19 about gays and the like, I am humbled, ashamed and so very sorry. The Lord has forgiven me. I hope that this board does the same. I have a 2-year old son that looks up to his Daddy. I just pray that he sees Jesus in me.

Jonathan,

We all go through life saying and doing things that we later regret.. Some never see it or if they do they chose not to make ammends..you have chosen to make those ammends and I for one forgave you a while ago..We who say we walk with god then must realize that he his all forgiving..as we should be if we are to walk with him always. I can't speak for everyone on this board but I can say You are forgiven from me. I am sorry about the lose of your father. You have chosen to walk with god at a young age and at 40 yrs old now you begin to see the past and make up for them. The lord forgave you along time ago..You must forgive yourself first..as i am sure you are doing. Take heart mate...I am sure your son sees more than you realize. Children see things that we as adults don't see. there minds are not closed like ours..your son loves you..nae worries on what he sees..he sees the real you..

Welcome Back to the Board Jonathan

Evie

Jonathan,
Everyone says things they regret. (Usually they are not quite so public but we all make mistakes.)
Thanks for clearing things up! I believe you will find all is forgiven.

Jonathon, it's not really my place to say anything as I wasn't involved in the same topics that you were. But it takes a big person to apologize the way you did. I'm glad that you came to terms with yourself and your feelings. I'm really sorry about your dad.

Jonathan, you said that so well, you are your childs father and nothing will change that. As far as being forgiven here, I don't believe anyone hhas the right to judge you we all make mistakes, we are human and I believe you will always be welcome.

It is absolutely refreshing to find so many intelligent people.Religion is a very prickly subject to broach, I commend you all.

Pudding, I have the same difficulty you do. I have a family with a variety of different religious backgrounds(catholic, stregan, luthern, protestant) and it is very confusing finding"your" faith. I "experimented" with all of them and I found wonderful experiences with each, but most importantly, I learned that the base of all religious morals and beliefs are pretty much the same.

It is a shame there is so much strife in this world about who's religion is right and who's wrong. What a waste. Belief in one religion or another is a waste of time if you do not truly believe. At the same time not believing in one "church" or another does not make you a non believer--there is a big difference between having faith in a higher power and having faith in a church or religion.

I like you have situations from my past which made it very hard to believe in a "higher power". But I do.It is a non denomonational belief that we are all blessed to be here on this earth, where ever, by some divine power, which give us security and peace to know that in our darkest hours and in our brightest we are not alone. I donot have a name for my entity(God, Allah, etc..) but do not discount the fact that they are all one relating to us individually on terms(religious beliefs)we are comfortable with. One day I hope we can overcome our religious barriers, but its nice to see so many different people with so many different beliefs all saying the same thing

And that is just my wee opinion
