Thanks Becca,
Your right it does seem to be a trend. Suppose it could get worse it could have "morphed" into a discussion of Satanism. ------------------ Goose **************** "All science has one aim, namely, to find a theory of nature." Ralph Waldo Emerson. |

HI TO ALL!
First of all I must apologize myself 'cos what I'm going to write will be a little out of this topic...So I'm sorry pudding ( I see you in S. A. )The fact is that I can't bear lies or false insinuations...I invite you all to take a look at the page that TheMuslim has created. I must reply to his affirmations: 1. You say that Maometto (I write his name in italian) is the prophet "like Moses" about whom we read in Deuteronomio. Well, Maometto lived about 600 years after Christ, Moses lived about 1300 years before Christ, so we have about 1900 years between Moses and Maometto. Have you a remote idea of how many prophets there were during this years? In The Holy Bible we can see the names of some prophets (I write these in italian too): Isaia, Geremia, Baruc, Ezechiele, Daniele, Osea, Gioele, Amos, Abdia, Giona, Michea, Naum, Abacuc, Sofonia, ............They (and many others) were all "like Moses" i.e. had 2 parents, married, died, were buried...SO REALLY I DON'T SEE THE REASON OF WHY MAOMETTO IS THE PROPHET MENTIONED IN DEUTERONOMIO! 8others motivations aren't sufficient) 2. You say that John the Baptist contradicts Jesus...It's false! Pharisees belived (see Siracide, 48) that prophet Elia shoud be back before coming Messiah, in Mt 17,10 Jesus says that "Elia" was came before him, he refers to John but not in the sense that John was Elia restored to life! Elia and John had the same role in the story of Israel: remind to people conversion and repentance for sins (see Lc 1, 11-17...here God's Angel says to Zaccaria that John will have the same vigour of Elia).SO THERE IS NO CONTRADICTION when John himself says that he is not Elia restored to life! 3. The 3 prophecies you see are simply 2. if you take a look to greek test of John's Gospel you will find the words "o prophetes ei su?" and below: "...oude o prophetes". In Greek the article "o" means both "the" or "a" so the question coul be translate also "Are you a prophet?" John the Baptist had the virtue of humility and he didn't feel himself as a special person he said about himself: "I'm the voice that cries in the desert..." WHERE IS THE NECESSITY OF THE THIRD PROPHECY?4. The term "prophet" means someone who announce God's will. Everyone of us could be a prophet...there where some prophet in past centuries of particular vigour. But after Jesus, who COMPLETES Moses' law (but not because He had fear to change something....this is really a no-sense! did Maometto die on a cross to save you?), no prophet can announce god's will in a better way than his son!5. The Quran and Maometto predication are behind with announcing God's will. LOVE IS THE REVOLUTION, THE GRATEST CONQUEST IN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GOD AND MAN ...THE SAME LOVE MADE JESUS CAME AMONG US -FROM GOD, HE IS GOD WHO MAKES HIMSELF MAN - HE LIVED AND SPOKE WITH US, DIED FOR US AND CAME BACK TO LIFE! GOD DOESN'T WANT SUBMISSION BUT LOVE FROM US. Dear TheMuslim, I think you have to be more respectful towards God, and please open your mind to the different from you. Sorry for my too long LONG reply matez! ![]() ![]() ------------------ BYe Anto |
