Joshua raised the dead, walked on water and rose from the dead..says so in the bible.

A better translation from the original text has jesus say 'we are all the sons of god', not 'I' am the son of god...but i guess thats a problem with translation. specially when the King James version was translated 400 years ago...translators probably not up to the standard of the experts today an dtheir 'spurious' books. If anything it is the King James version which is spurious.

The bible is one of a number of books desighned to help us lead morally uplifing lives....so does the Lord of the Rings

Eyewitness accounts....I don't think so...the earliest gospel was written at leasts 30 years after his death, in a different country in a different language. Lifespans where considerably shorter than today, so any eyewitness would have been at best in their early teens, probably younger...My nine year old saw a man fishing in waders and thought he walking on water too.
