religion,of course what people do in the privacy of their homes is their business. So I am not anti religious as such. |

I have a similar view on communism. What people do in their own homes is their own buiness (to a point) It's the organised variety that I don't like.(it dosen't work )So I am not anti communist as such. |

I want religion to be personal and private, we can read the bible/koran at home.
Churches and mosque's are from a time when people couldn't read. Bit silly getting someone to read that which you can read yourself. As Einstein said "rather childish' |

Of the top of my head, I would say that it has something to do with people coming together and not being loners or outcasts? it's not about getting someone else to read for you ? It's about people being together and sharing. Sort of like going to a pop concert, when it would be easier just to buy a CD and listen to the music at home, in privacy ?Or maybe just sing a few tunes yourself ? Nah ! It wouldn't be the same, would it ? I'm sure your beef with organised religion isn't just about people being so childish that they have to be read to ??? To become obsessively opposed to something just because a smart scientised thought it was childish ? is, erm, childish itself ? I think you view organised religion as a threat of some sort ? A threat to something you believe in. |
