I find that cleverer people tend to believe in God. There have been many studies done which prove this.
It's just so obviuos that there was some kind of creator. Are athiests really stipulating that we're just here by luck. Simply ridiculous! For example, if we were slightly nearer or farther from the sun we would either be too hot (and not existing)or too cold (and not existing)! We are the perfect distance away! There are many examples lke this one! |

So basically, you're saying that atheists must be stupid because only a stupid person would think like they do? Hmmm....
Links, please!

I don't think there have been ANY objective and unbiased studies that support that idea. It's just so obviuos that there was some kind of creator. As regards living on the perfect planet it might have escaped your notice that much of it is covered by barren deserts and polar wastes where no species can survive and millions die each year as a result of poverty and disease caused by hostile environments. If God designed this planet he's either a sadist or incempetent.

Sorry folks ! but you've both missed the point ... Religion is just a tool , to enforce the morals of a minority on to the majority ,for aquiring power and wealth over others ,if it's wasn't for ignorence religion wouldn't exist !! and to start talking about a mythical diety that has power and influence over the world and the universe says clearly that the human race is not as free thinking as we're led to believe .
It shows how easily controlled and manipulated we really are ,its existence proves without any doubt that if any one comes across us , who we believe has some authority over us we will do as we're told honest i really do hope we never meet a intelligent species out there in the cosmos because if they find out about religion they'll just go ahhhh! a easily controlled ,easily manipulated resource....![]() |

Forms of religion are, Narvick, but religion itself predates wealth and majorities by tens of thousands of years. It was a way of dealing with the horrors prehistoric life would throw at people. Religion helps people get through disasters and bereavement, and so on, and hence it's been hardwired into us. There's little solace in atheism, much as atheists would like there to be.
Personally I find true atheism as dogmatic as religion. Agnosticism is the honest, real free thinking approach. Sometimes it's best to admit our ignorance, not to pretend to be certain one way or the other, because we're not.
