Well, Polwarth I've been visiting with my mother for a wee while with mad boring conversations and I have bitten off ALL my tongue, - well only leaving enough to eat with. obviously, 'cos I'm no daft - no s******ing at the back there! So that's why it looks like politeness. I don't do politeness very well, but if it happens by accident, that is all right by me.

BUT, dae ye no think that my wee plan involving Craig Ferguson and Rikki Fulton and Norman/Tormud MacLean would be good, no? Ah mean, apart from the whole tiresome "being dead" detail, a problem which affects Rikki F, at least, but still, it is a good plan, no? We could be whatdeyecallits, impressarios, annat. We could get rich! We could retire to posh Caribbean islands! Ach, no, that wouldnae work - they might have sun there. Am Scottish, am not used to sun. And it is Glasgow Fair, so definitely no sun. My Great Plan might need further thought then.

Oh.

Back to the drawing board then.

Oh dearie me, not again. I had forgotten about this. A word of mine has been asterisked out. Fine. Now if I had wanted to use "bad" words, I think I should have managed to find a way to do that, you know, as would others. And anybody who says "bad" things here will be dealt with. Good.

To explain, for anyone, (probably U.S.American) to whom it might not be immediately obvious, the word I used was a word that merely means something like "laugh sneakily" or giggle in a quiet and semi-hidden way. It is used mainly in a joking sense to refer to the habit of schoolchildren of giggling when they think that the teacher is not looking.

So, I used the word s n i g g e r and I do see that this text string might trigger alarms in a very unsophisticated system, but good grief, this sort of thing has been a joke for absolutely many years. It is clear that that I did not mean to use the "N" word that nobody uses, and it is the same supremely daft system that does not allow people to say that they live in, for instance, oh you know, that town in North Lincolnshire that our good Babz used to live in.

I'll try it just for fun, shall I? S****horpe and if that shows up asterisks, it is a thing that is triggering on a simple text string in a way that has been a joke for about twenty years and more.

However, I am sure that S c u n t h or p e is a very nice town indeed. Really.
