You've tried to interest the members here about your 'religious' beliefs. Most have responded with a deafening silence.

Unless Madonna reads this site, I suspect you'll still get a deafening silence

Just out of curiosity I had a look and the first sentence I read was "The wisdom of Kabbalah is a scientific tool for studying the spiritual world." Surely the spiritual world is supernatural and by definition must be outwith the scope of scientific study. I don't see wisdom I see a religious cult trying to use science to give itself a veneer of credibility.

I watched a program on Kabbalah recently - it didn't get very good press. The organisers of some festival were encouraging people to beg, steal and borrow to get to some religious festival. They were selling bottles of "holy" water (which, it turned out, was mineral water from Canada) for extortionate prices.

Exclamation Totally Disagree

Dr.Bergs idea of promoting Kabalah around the world and using Top actors and actresses simply proves he doesn't care about Kabalah, or even understand it.

Kabalh is not just an insight to Judaism but a more hidden meaning and should not be taken lightly. It is impossible, I repeat, impossible to understand Kabalah as Demi More and Modonna et all think they do.They understand what Dr.Berg tells them, but that is not Kabalah it's only his interp[retation of the little he knowsw.

He is an Epicorse in my opinion and many agree with me.

I have three sons who are Rabbis, and from what I know [and I am not altogether religeous like my sons are] Kabalah needs to be interpreted properly and that can only be done if you do Torah studying first of all

Thanks, Richard. You are obviously a Jew with deeper knowledge of your religion than the OP!

Smile Why is Kabbalah so popular today?

Today, many people believe that humanity's progress is approaching a dead end. Our past hopes for a better, happier life through scientific and social progress have been overshadowed by a growing pessimism over what seems to be an impasse.

We see that more and more people in the world are unable to find fulfillment. Once, we thought of ourselves as making great leaps forward, believing we were making substantial progress, but now we appear to be facing some kind of a wall.

Humanity seems to beplunging into depression, suicide and drugs abound, and people are trying to disengage themselves from the world, and suppress their feelings. Terrorism and a rapid upsurge in natural disasters are symptoms of a global crisis, and all these states are leading humanity to one fundamental question: "What is the meaning of life?"

Many people have already begun searching for the answer to this question. This becomes evident if we consider the vast increase in spiritual seekers over the last twenty years.

It is written in the Book of Zohar, that at the end of the twentieth century humanity will start asking about the meaning of life, and that the answer to this question, hidden in the ancient science of Kabbalah, can only be revealed in our time, precisely because of these challenging circumstances.

The science of Kabbalah has been concealed over millennia for this very reason. People were not ready for it, and did not need it. But in recent years its appeal has risen dramatically. Many have taken up Kabbalah studies, curious as to what it can give them. Once a person realizes that Kabbalah answers the question about the meaning of life, he or she no longer feels intimidated by it, and begins to actively engage in studying it.

Ideas that Kabbalah is about magic, miracles, red strings, and holy water are gradually dying out. People can see that these are merely psychological phenomena.
