Exclamation You Don't know Anything about America

Unless Someone is part of a cult, not many anymore a nut the don't approach people on the sidewalk and try to convert them. It doesn't work that way, usually a friend or someone at work, that you know well, invites you to their church. The mainline churches are very low key. Americans feel empty, they are searching for answers to questions that seem to have no answers. Most Americans feel lost, they know something's wrong and are looking for someone to tell them the answers. I'm an Orthodox Christian; do I have the answers? No! My church doesn't get involved in politics. Back when we did in Eastern Europe things turned out badly. A nut named Rasputin convinced, not just the Royal Family, but a lot of other people he was some kind of holy man with a direct line to God. We all know what happened, what most people don't know is that Rasputin wasn't an Orthodox Christian certainly was no monk and he was married with four kids in Siberia, where he was from. Half of the people here are Democrats, if Bush hadn't pulled a fast one in Fla. Gore would have won. Do your homework before making accusations. Yes, the south is the Bible belt, but most of the people mind their own business. Most people I bring up the subject of religion to, I lived in Bedford Co. Virginia from 1990 until 2004, say they believe if you live a good life and make your peace with God , You're get to heaven. Two charismatic preachers are causing all the problems. The Southern Baptist Church is the largest church in America, Jerry Falwell is in the Independent Baptist Church. When I was growing up in eastern Virginia we called them the "hardshell Baptist" now days you don't hear that anymore. I'm 56 years old, I have my own philosophy, My political veiws are unique, my youngest son said I'm denial. I pulled up a website looking for a classical movie, that said in big bold print the same thing I had concluded myself. Right now I can't explain any further because a member of my family could get hurt if I explain further. I don't want him to loose his job over my unusual opinions. Shortly, when I can I'm getting my own website. I hope you will read it when It's complete. I have been writing for years, I am on most of the international forums. I would shout from the rooftop if it would do any good, the fact is, no on cares, or they think I'm wierd. I'm a writer, that's what I do. I have read the right, the left , and anything else I can think of, from what I have read and from conversations with a former politician from VA I have come to my own conclusions. Peace people!
