Monotheism is defined as ;

The doctrine or belief that there is only one God.

The term god is defined as;

A being of supernatural powers or attributes, believed in and worshiped by a people, especially a male deity thought to control some part of nature or reality.

Christianity has god, the devil, the virgin mary, the holy spirit, jesus and a whole bunch of saints. If Christianity is a monotheistic religion what are all these other guys for.

Hmm, not quite.

For one, the Virgin Mary and the Saints are not a feature of Protestantism.

Secondly, no Christian considers the Devil to be a God.

Thirdly, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and the Father, are said to be three in one in most Christian churches, so monotheism of a sort. This is the mystery of the trinity. I can get the concept, although I don't believe in it.

nogginthenog. I think you should realise that Christians are generally clueless. Theyres really no point in questioning them. Its bassed o Jeudaism which originally used polythesium (many gods) until they changed theyr minds and changed it to one

THe OT form of Judaism is deinately monotheistic at first, like the Eghyptian and Norse rleigions, then the frist deity brings mroe into creation (Ra, Odin, Yahweh), in the case of judaism, the angels.

Satan appaears to be a higher form of one of these deities, alike with Azazeal and the nephiliim. If they have the power to oppose yahweh then it begs that theyare just as powerful as him, just fewer in number, so CHristianity becomes polytheistic.

When you start tlkaing about the holy trinity that's just another form of Christianity's main religous aim (consume and spread, like a virus really), which most of the time has to take in parts of other religions. The tirnity coming form the Celtic triads (triple deities). Which were considered as one deity, not 3. So this begs that Christianity coudl infact be monotheistic, but not when Jesus is yahweh's son.

Monotheism includes:

1- That there is a single God & Creator for everything; everything besides him is his creation as he brought it into being, including the vaccum in the space.

2- He has no associates in his ruling, nor subgods or sons. The homogenous nature of creation shows that there is a single creator.

3- Perfection belongs only to him.

What about the male deity thingy here? Don't involve feminism here plz..Lol...this is irrelevant...
