[i]Well.. Me.. I think I wanna sit back first.. if you don't mind.. lol..

I want to read others opinions or comments first before I post mine.. Is that unfair.. maybe.. but I'm doing it to just get a wee bit more education on the topic first.. before I shoot my mouth off.. lol..

Sometimes things annoy me soooooooooo badly.. that I just go off the handle.. without gettin as much fact as I can.. So Please... if anyone wants to leave a comment... story.. etc.. do so..

Sometimes, there are valid reasons for annullments. Though the reasons are along the line of one or the other party being too immature to make a competent decision regarding the responsibility/concept of marriage--and blah, blah, blah. Technical jargon. When a spouse is beating the other spouse, causing serious and/or permanent bodily injury would be one reason that I would say the church ought to annull the marriage if that is what the petitioner requests. Such a relationship does not constitute a marriage--the working together of two persons toward the goals of the unit without the abandonment of either party of their individuality. Hope that's a fair starter!

[i]Hello Arcade..

Thank you for your reply.. I did enjoy reading it..

I do understand that there are certain valid reasons why a person may want to seek an Annulment, but what I have to say is this: "Who is to say that you file a piece of paper... they review your reasons for an annulment, and they grant you one or not?" Who holds that much power over us? Who has given these people this power? Was it God? I assumed it was only God that was the higher power.. but now it seems to be so many others as well. It is a fact that an Annulment is now filed with the Courts.. but why? what do they have to do with it? lmao.. sheeesshhh

I think my major problem with it is.. How can a simple man, judge, priest say that a 10 year marriage never existed? Excuse me but am I getting these 10 years of my life back? Will I be walking away from it all without a lifes lesson? ermmmm... I don't think so..

I think now a days its all Money.. and God forgive me.. but even the Church has its hands in the Money Pot.. I do remember when I was getting Married.. I wanted to Marry in the church my parents did, But they wouldnt marry me there because I was not a member of that Parish.. Hello???? Catholic Church.. ie: FAITH.. is it not all the same? However, for a "Special" fee.. lol.. they were willing to do it..

When my Brother was Marrying.. his soon to be Bride was divorced.. Her X was a drug addict.. and beater.. The Church wouldn't grant her the annulment becasue she needed for her X-Husband (even after being divorced by the Court over 5 years) to sign the papers as well.. She pleaded with them that this man was finally out of her life for good and she couldnt track him down to do this.. In a nut shell.. It didn't matter to my Brother one way of the other.. but that left a very bad taste in my mouth...

I just don't think that after all the hard ship a person may have gone thur in their lives.. should they have to face yet another ordeal.. Getting Divorced in itself is a ordeal.. so now.. cough up a couple of hundred dollars.. have a good reason.. and we'll make the entire thing go away like it never never happened...
yeah right!

Well.. thats a bit of how I feel.. lol.. Thanks for listening..
