This has been my question for sometime. I myself have very little belief in God. I partake in the wicca cult instead. Is this wrong, I don't think so, but maybe its just me.

Anything called a "cult" gets a bad rep from the off.
Most of the times it's quite correct, but there you go.
Religion, however, is just a cult that started a long long time ago and/or had powerful people backing it.

[i]It's the oldest and newest argument to date!

I've learned two things in life from my Mother..
1. Never discuss politics unless totally prepared..
2. Never discuss religion while drinking...

It would seem that we all come across many different people in our lives. Certain paths one may choose to take for either learning or exploring reasons are actually no ones business but yourself.

I have been raised Roman Catholic. I do believe in God.. however, that does not mean that I believe in all the Catholic's rules.. I don’t know.. Its such a touchy subject.. I use to never speak my mind on this issue... for it always winded up in a argument.. Just ask my friend Sapphy.. lol.. She will tell ya the many different arguments her and I had with others.. lol..

I don’t know what I believe in right now. I am just at the point in my life that it seems I’m losing Faith in many different things.. Faith and Hope was something I use to believe in so strongly... and just like many.. one begins to question things...
We could go very deep into this topic.. and I of course wouldn't mind to.. but in ending I will just say..

One must live their lives the way they see fit for themselves.. and no matter what anyone else says.. as long as your happie and not directly hurting another.. there should be no issues..

Narrow-minded people are quite exhausting.. lol..

By some of society, perhaps, but who is to say they are right?

Surely one's choice of faith or of no faith is a personal decision. I would not like to live in a country where one cult/religious group is allowed to think it has the only truth.

(Yes, a bit of tautology there..oops!)

This is wonderful. I myself don't try to pressure people to believe in what I believe in. I feel like people have the freedom to believe in whatever they want to believe in. If they want to believe in God, then great for them, but unfortunately its definitely not for me.

Western society is becoming increasingly secular and I don't think atheism is frowned upon by many people in this day and age.Conventional religious worship will inevitably continue to decline in the west and people will instead adopt more unorthodox beliefs such as wicca, reincarnation etc.-it is the hard headed opponents of such beliefs that will increasingly find themselves to be an isolated minority.I think the internet will play a role in bringing about this change as it provides an opportunity for people to express their own beliefs and to learn about the beliefs of others.

[i]Hello Andy-J2

Before I get to a state of all sorts of confusion.. lol.. what do you mean by "adopt more unorthodox beliefs" and "it is the hard headed opponents of such beliefs

From how im reading it.. It would seem that you disagree with that life style or ie: beliefs.. but I do not want to jump to the wrong conclusion.

Isolation can occur within any belief if you are looking at it from an outside view looking in. It never occurred to me that so many people were in fact Atheist... because growing up, I was taught to believe in one thing and as a wee girl I assumed that all people believed in the same... And on the occasion if I did in fact come in contact with a person of a different belief, I just assumed that they were of the minority when it came to religion.. That was a very bad way of looking at it.. and in fact not only bad.. but totally narrow-minded.

It took me a lot of years to realize that the world is not "Black N' White" not all Catholic.. and this was a teaching that I choose to do. My parents were highly strict Italian Catholic and that’s just how is was...

Ok again.. Im not sure this is all coming out right here.. sounds good in my head.. so I guess if you want to .. I would love to know what you meant by those two statements in your post
