I agree that the Islam preached and celebrated by an ever growing number of fanatics is a lore of murder and vanity.

I do know, however, a number of Islamic people who are peaceful, honest, charitable. They have a different way of seeing Allah and they respect my religion, too, just as they would respect yours. When the bombs detonated in Istanbul last week, they immediately phoned the Red Cross here to ask how they could donate their blood for the Jewish people who were injured. They honour Mary and they honour Jesus as a prophet, too.

These people are, however, hated and persecuted by above mentioned fanatics who see them as traitors of the "Islamic cause".

Let us all pray that fanatism will one day will be overcome by an enlightened, respectful form of faith in EVERY religion.

I just hate fanatism in any disguise. And throwing eggs at politicians and mashing up policemen is no form of political protest for me, it's only one step away from throwing bombs.

Hey Celyn, sorry for any misunderstanding. I did never intend to accuse you or anyone else in this forum of doing such things, but political "protest" has so often ended in open hatred and violence that I just wanted to express my disgust towards them and warn how easily political movements get emotionalized and cotrolled by violence instead of reason. That was all.
