Now I lay me down to sleep
My earthbound thoughts are burried deep
Entering the world of dreams
where nothing is what it seems
My body's relaxed, my mind's offshore
Drifting and sailing through dreams galore...

I wrote that, half-asleep, under the onfluence of your books, Susan... Dunno if it really is a prayer, but it comes from within me, from that part of me that comes to life when the mind falls asleep...

This was wonderful!

Let me add the one I made up for my daughter:

Lord, I thank you for this day,
keep me away from sin, I pray,
give us all a peaceful night
and make tomorrow nice and bright.
Amen

Ida and Jacobitedreamer,
These are both such nice poems written from your hearts.

Jacobitedreamer yours is so clearly written that it makes you feel like tomorrow will actually be a good day, free of anything bad because it will be a bright day even if it rains. There is just something about the way you wrote it...........it is very good.

Ida my friend you are so intelligent, for a woman who speaks English as a second language, for fun, I just think you are so incredible. How you can write with such perfection is beyond me. How does your mind think and work? I could not write that poem myself but reading that I totally understand it and if I could write a poem I would write that exact thought. If I could use your brain for just a year I could go far....very far in life....I may not return it because I would enjoy it so much. You are so lucky and have a great future ahead of you.

I am glad you are enjoying the books......pal!
