I want to introduce myself. I have read up on the battle between Tom and CreepingJesus & Scabby Douglas & AndyJ12 & Neil Caple. The numbers do not look very fair! One man versus five men? At any event, I read through them and voiced my reactions. In parts I might look hostile. I assure you, I just wanted to defend Tom who is not here to defend himself. In my opinion, for better or for worse, I think Tom was in the right. And this does not mean I believe in what he believes. I believe in some of the paranormal but very little of it. However, I think Tom was not listened to, too well, and I said as much in my individual postings to Scabby and Neil and so on. I wish no ill-will from them. I just found it curious that Tom, on leaving, said they would back-talk him and this is exactly what happened. How can they accuse him of being mean when they are themselves mean? I think that Tom brings out the worst in them and that these men are otherwise fine people. But in this particular matter, I think Tom was right. No offence intended and my apologies to all.

And Tom, if you do return, at any point, I am interested in what you have to say. You always tend to cite books and end up educating the listerner. I can't fault that in a man. I'm a teacher, myself, and encourage knowledge of my youth.

My own requirements for acceptable evidence demand more than just a simple coincidence.

For the time being I have to accept Thales as a bona fide new contributor.

Forum Moderators have the ability to check the IP addresses used when posts are made and one of the first things I did when the "new" poster showed up was to ask this forum's Moderator to compare his IP to Tommy's. I am awaiting his reply, but if I was someone who has been misrepresenting himself I'd be afraid... very afraid.

CJ: One
Scabs: Two
AndyJ12(sic): Three
Neil: Four

I make four.
Unless we count Neil's surname as well.

Was there someone else recenty having problems with numbers? I can't quite recall...

I'm prepared to accept the possibility that Thales and Tom may be the same person. Do we have some more evidence? I was wondering if any of the moderators were able to inspect the IP address(es) that are used by Tom and Thales. That might be informative, though not necessarily conclusive.

After I posted this, I realised that Neil had posted more or less the same thing. Except he'd actually done something about it. Great minds think alike, but fools seldom differ.

Hmm, I don't see what in what way it impugns my character. I wasn't asking to find out what Thales's IP address was, just suggesting that the moderator could use it for information on the bona fides of "Thales404". It would, after all, be something of a poltroon who would hide behind an alter ego after publicly running away, I do beg your pardon, quitting the forum in high dudgeon. Such a person would surely have more to fear from a commentary on their character than I.
