I still have no idea as to whether or not of what I sm. I'm trying my best to follow God, but I seem to always do wrong and I always feel lonely, like no one's with me. It's like I am only half way turned to God, but in my last post, I still needed an answer, so I am making this one. Will someone please help me find out if I can consider myself Christian or not? When I do wrong (like being grouchy) my sisters say that I'm no Christian. How can they say that when they aren't even considering on being for God?! I know the stories of the Bible and stuff but I'm only 15. I need to know if I'm one or not. Please help!

You're still a Christian if you do something wrong. Being transformed is a long, slow process. If you make a mistake, just resolve yourself to do better next time.

hold on..

Edited by SD on 22/07/03:

I hesitated about removing this earlier post, but decided that it would be best.

I confused Scottie with another poster with (not very) similar name. Fear NB spotted my moronic error and pointed it out. Thanks, Feartie.

Sincere apologies to Scottie.

I thought rather than just delete the post, though, I'd own up and apologise too.

I believe you are confusing Scottie_Brook with Scott_Baird.

Hi Scottie, from now on I'll remember to pray for you. Learn to listen to God and walk accordingly. Its for your protection (see an example I gave from this Kobe Bryant incident : Jesus in the OT-1 --- http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Isaiah55 )

God loves you no matter what. You are precious to Him.

To receive God's blessings in life, you need to learn to walk in obedience. Sure temptation from the enemy and testing from our Lord will come your way. And as you learn to overcome temptations and prove your obedience to God, you will mature and be ready to receive greater blessings.

Pray always. While being respectful, talk to God like you would a friend. He is not interested in religious vocabularies. He is after your heart. Heart to heart. God is listening. Are you?

Oh what would you talk about? Anything!

SD,
You're forgiven.

Brooke or Scottie_Brooke

Theja,
What's an OT-1?

Thank you for praying! It means a lot that soeone out there is praying for me.

How can I walk in obidience? I just sin and sin, even though I know God still loves me. I feel like this year our friendship (mine and God's) is the strongest that it's ever been. Now I keep forgetting to talk to Him but only a teeny bit. When I'm alone somewhere I talk to Him, but I'm rarely ever getting quiet time here. Too much company around. I'd like to talk to God in quiet a lot more about my troubles if people weren't always around. Now the only time I have to notice Him is when I'm litening to Christian music (that's all I have, but tht's what I wanted), praying daily, taling a little bit to Him when getting the paper(and being alone), and reading the Bible. He's still the missing part of my life I think.

Brooke

The fact that you are recognising your sin and trying to find ways to overcome it shows you to be a true Christian, to me anyway.
Having faith in yourself is as important as having faith in God, so remember each time you sin, you must believe that your salvation will be around the next corner.
Also, don't be too hard on yourself. If God really is up there watching you, he's probably thinking "I remember Jesus was just the same when he was 15."
What?!? He might have been!
